A misty August day saw the return
of Sherlock Holmes to Dartmoor. Not this time to solve some dastardly crime, but to
celebrate the centenary of the first publication of The Hound of the Baskervilles.
Enthusiasts from all over the world came to join The Baskerville Hounds (in costume) for
their Hound conference. A collection was held by these keen Sherlockians and the proceeds
a wonderful £618 donated to the Dartmoor Preservation Association. Thank
you to everyone who contributed. The photograph shows Sherlock Holmes (Squadron-Leader
